Levelland Lobos (Levelland, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX), 44-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Levelland upgrades its record to 31-2 on the season. The Lobos host Lake View (San Angelo, TX) to clash with the Chiefs in a 4A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 0-28. Lake View lost 42-32 in their recent league bout against Big Spring (Big Spring, TX)

Next up, the Matadors clash with the Snyder Tigers (Snyder, TX) in a 4A Region I District 5 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Estacado will attempt to upgrade on its 19-12 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 14-18 record after their 44-39 league loss to Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX).
