Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy Eagle (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM), 45-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Eagle travel to Coronado (Gallina, NM) to play the Leopards in a A District 7 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Leopards go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Coronado lost 42-35 in their recent non-league bout against Santa Fe Prep (Santa Fe, NM)

Next up, the Bears play the Des Moines Demons (Des Moines, NM) in a A District 5 bout, on Saturday, February 3. Maxwell will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Demons go into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 47-34 league win over Cimarron (Cimarron, NM).
