Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Raleigh Charter Phoenix (Raleigh, NC), 53-22 in a league bout.

With the win, Falls Lake upgrades its record to 21-2 on the season. The Firebirds travel to NCSSM: Durham (Durham, NC) to play the Unicorns in a 1A/2A Super Six bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Unicorns go into the bout with a record of 10-7. NCSSM: Durham won 45-29 in their recent league bout against Franklin Academy (Wake Forest, NC)

Next up, the Phoenix play the East Wake Academy Eagles (Zebulon, NC) in a 1A/2A Super Six bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Raleigh Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 53-34 league win over Research Triangle (Research Triangle Park, NC).
