Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Murray County Indians (Chatsworth, GA) and the visiting Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA), saw Murray County's basketball squad knock off Fannin County by a tally of 52-39.

With the victory, Murray County improves its record to 17-6 on the campaign. The Indians travel to North Murray (Chatsworth, GA) to play the Mountaineers in a AA Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 12-9. North Murray lost 49-41 in their recent league challenge against Rockmart (Rockmart, GA)

Next up, the Rebels play the Haralson County Rebels (Tallapoosa, GA) in a AA Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Fannin County will attempt to improve on its 14-7 season record.
