In Friday's non-league outing, the Hi-Plains Patriots (Seibert, CO) basketball squad edged the host Flagler Panthers (Flagler, CO), by a margin of 57-53.
The Patriots (7-7) will now prepare for their outing against Otis (Otis, CO). The Bulldogs go into the 1A YWKC outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Otis held off Arickaree (Anton, CO), 38-34, in a league outing.
The Panthers now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Stratton for a 2A/1A Union Pacific outing on Tuesday, February 6. Flagler will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 55-27 league win over Byers (Byers, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 12-2.
