In Friday's league outing, the Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA), by a margin of 61-34.
The Warriors (18-3) will now prepare for their outing against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Bulldogs go into the Piedmont outing with a 8-13 record. In their last outing, Martinsville was trounced by Halifax County (South Boston, VA), 40-37, in a league outing.
The Eagles now own a 9-11 record. They play next when they travel to Tunstall for a Piedmont outing on Tuesday, February 6. George Washington will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 57-47 league win over Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 6-14.
