The Glascock County Panthers (Gibson, GA) basketball nipped the host Wilkinson County Warriors (Irwinton, GA), 45-41 in Friday's league test.
The Panthers (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Johnson County (Wrightsville, GA). The Trojans go into the A D2 Region 5 test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Johnson County got by Hancock Central (Sparta, GA), 69-43, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 9-13 record. They play next when they travel to East Laurens for a non-league test on Saturday, February 3. Wilkinson County will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 46-34 league loss to Bleckley County (Cochran, GA). The Falcons record now stands at 12-6.
