In Friday's league match, the visiting Greenwood Wildcats basketball team scored a good 36-23 triumph over the Newport Buffaloes.
In their next game, the Wildcats meet the Lancaster County Christian Lions (Lancaster, PA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 3. Greenwood will attempt to move on its 11-8 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 14-4 record after their 47-31 non-league loss to Mount Calvary Christian (Elizabethtown, PA).
With the defeat, Newport moves to 2-13 on the year. The Buffaloes host Juniata (Mifflintown, PA) to meet the Indians in a Tri-Valley match on Monday, February 5. The Indians enter the match with a record of 13-8. Juniata won 53-18 in their recent league match against East Juniata (McAlisterville, PA)
