Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Heard County Braves (Franklin, GA), 68-67 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lamar County upgrades its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Trojans host Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 15-7. Lake Oconee Academy won 62-32 in their recent league bout against Greene County (Greensboro, GA)

Next up, the Braves play the Crawford County Eagles (Roberta, GA) in a A D1 Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Heard County will attempt to upgrade on its 14-7 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 5-14 record after their 59-30 league loss to Temple (Temple, GA).
