Southside Christian Sabres (Simpsonville, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting High Point Academy Grizzlies (Spartanburg, SC), 53-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Southside Christian upgrades its record to 13-3 on the season. The Sabres travel to St. Joseph's Catholic (Greenville, SC) to clash with the Knights in a A Region 1 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 15-8. St. Joseph's Catholic won 53-43 in their recent league bout against Christ Church Episcopal (Greenville, SC)

Next up, the Grizzlies clash with the Brashier Middle College Charter Bengal (Simpsonville, SC) in a A Region 1 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. High Point Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Bengal go into the bout with a 9-12 record after their 46-9 non-league win over GREEN Upstate (Simpsonville, SC).
