Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mascoutah Indians (Mascoutah, IL), 51-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Jersey upgrades its record to 18-11 on the season. The Panthers host Collinsville (Collinsville, IL) to play the Kahoks in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Kahoks go into the bout with a record of 12-14. Collinsville won 40-36 in their recent non-league bout against Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL)

Next up, the Indians play the Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 3. Mascoutah will attempt to upgrade on its 7-20 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 14-13 record after their 45-43 league loss to Freeburg (Freeburg, IL).
