Rice Bulldogs (Rice, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Kemp Yellowjackets (Kemp, TX), 102-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Rice upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 3A Region III District 18 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 12-14.

Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the Malakoff Tigers (Malakoff, TX) in a 3A Region III District 18 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Kemp will attempt to upgrade on its 3-18 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 28-3 record after their 56-19 league win over Palmer (Palmer, TX).
