Needles Mustangs (Needles, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Laughlin Cougars (Laughlin, NV), 61-19 in a league bout.

With the win, Needles upgrades its record to 22-2 on the season. The Mustangs host GV Christian (Henderson, NV) to play the Guardians in a 2A Southern bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Guardians go into the bout with a record of 5-15. GV Christian lost 58-19 in their recent league bout against White Pine (Ely, NV)

Next up, the Cougars play the Lake Mead Academy Eagles (Henderson, NV) in a 2A Southern bout, on Friday, February 9. Laughlin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record.
