The Mattanawcook Lynx basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Sumner Tigers to 33 in the Lynx league triumph on Friday.
The Lynx now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host George Stevens Academy for a C North contest on Monday, February 5. Mattanawcook will meet a Eagles team coming off a 39-17 non-league win over Deer Isle-Stonington (Deer Isle, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 6-11.
The Tigers (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Calais (Calais, ME). The Blue Devils enter the C North contest with a 5-11 record. In their last contest, Calais triumphed over Orono (Orono, ME), 38-28, in a league contest.
