The Sylvan Hills Bears basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Maumelle Hornets to 29 in the Bears league victory on Friday.

The Bears now sport a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount St. Mary Academy for a 5A Central contest on Tuesday, February 6. Sylvan Hills will battle a Belles team coming off a 68-23 league loss to Vilonia (Vilonia, AR). The Belles record now stands at 6-14.

The Hornets (3-16) will now prepare for their contest against Parkview (Little Rock, AR). The Patriots come into the 5A Central contest with a 10-14 record. In their last contest, Parkview triumphed over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, AR), 59-58, in a league contest.
