Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers (Waterville, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Medford Tigers (Medford, MN), 69-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva (New Richland, MN) to clash with the Panthers in a AA Section 2 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 16-7. New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva won 62-54 in their recent non-league bout against United South Central (Wells, MN)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Bulldogs (Janesville, MN) in a AA Section 2 bout, on Monday, February 5. Medford will attempt to upgrade on its 2-19 season record.
