Westwood Longhorns (Memphis, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Memphis School of Excellence Winchester Eagles (Memphis, TN), 52-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Westwood upgrades its record to 12-0 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Hillcrest (Memphis, TN) to play the Vikings in a 1A District 16 bout on Monday, February 5. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 11-4. Hillcrest won 47-6 in their recent non-league bout against City University School of Liberal Arts (Memphis, TN)

Next up, the Eagles play the Memphis Rise Academy (Memphis, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Memphis School of Excellence Winchester will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record.
