In Friday's non-league outing, the Menahga Braves (Menahga, MN) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Verndale Pirates (Verndale, MN), by a margin of 67-18.

The Braves (18-1) will now prepare for their outing against Frazee (Frazee, MN). The Hornets go into the AA Section 8 outing with a 8-9 record. In their last outing, Frazee was trounced by Barnesville (Barnesville, MN), 66-59, in a league outing.

The Pirates now own a 15-5 record. They play next when they travel to Upsala for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 6. Verndale will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 62-48 non-league loss to Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-10.
