Middletown Cavaliers (Middletown, DE) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host William Penn Colonials (New Castle, DE), 43-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Middletown upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Odessa (Townsend, DE) to play the Ducks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Ducks come into the bout with a record of 10-5.

Next up, the Colonials play the Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles (Newark, DE) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. William Penn will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 52-34 non-league win over Sussex Tech (Georgetown, DE).
