The Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA) basketball knocked off the visiting Northeast Rebels (Goose Lake, IA), 54-38 in Friday's non-league test.
The Panthers (15-3) will now prepare for their test against Bellevue (Bellevue, IA). The Comets go into the Freelance test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Bellevue went down by Cascade (Cascade, IA), 50-30, in a league test.
The Rebels now own a 14-7 record. They play next when they host Anamosa for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 6.
