Richlands Blue Tornado (Richlands, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA), 62-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Richlands upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Blue Tornado travel to Jenkins (Jenkins, KY) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 5-14.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes (Marion, VA) in a Southwest bout, on Monday, February 5. Tazewell will attempt to upgrade on its 1-15 season record. The Scarlet Hurricanes come into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 43-40 league win over Graham (Bluefield, VA).
