Louisiana High School Basketball - Riverside Academy knocked off by Varnado

The Varnado Wildcats basketball team scored 35 points and held the visiting Riverside Academy Rebels to 22 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.
The Wildcats now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklinton for a non-league contest on Monday, February 5. Varnado will battle a Demons team coming off a 61-32 non-league loss to Pine (Franklinton, LA). The Demons record now stands at 7-12.
The Rebels (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Martinville (St. Martinville, LA). The Tigers enter the 3A District 5 contest with a 18-5 record. In their last contest, St. Martinville was defeated by JS Clark Leadership Academy (Opelousas, LA), 60-25, in a non-league contest.
