The Rosholt Hornets basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Tri-County Penguins to 44 in the Hornets league victory on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 4-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wild Rose for a Central Wisconsin - South contest on Tuesday, February 6. Rosholt will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 57-30 non-league loss to Assumption (Wisconsin Rapids, WI). The Wildcats record now stands at 16-6.

The Penguins (3-16) will now prepare for their contest against Tomahawk (Tomahawk, WI). The Hatchets come into the non-league contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, Tomahawk was defeated by Rhinelander (Rhinelander, WI), 69-35, in a league contest.
