The Timpson Bears (Timpson, TX) basketball felled the host Shelbyville Dragons (Shelbyville, TX), 35-27 in Friday's league test.

The Bears (16-15) will now prepare for their test against Tenaha (Tenaha, TX). The Tigers go into the 2A Region III District 23 test with a 29-5 record. In their last test, Tenaha thwarted Garrison (Garrison, TX), 85-37, in a league test.

The Dragons now own a 17-12 record. They play next when they travel to Beckville for a 2A Region III District 23 test on Tuesday, February 6.
