The Western Dubuque Bobcats (Epworth, IA) basketball nipped the visiting Wahlert Golden Eagles (Dubuque, IA), 59-52 in Friday's league test.
The Bobcats (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Hawks go into the Mississippi Valley test with a 5-13 record. In their last test, Jefferson got by Kennedy (Cedar Rapids, IA), 61-55, in a league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 14-4 record. They play next when they travel to Cedar Falls for a Mississippi Valley test on Tuesday, February 6.
