The Altavista Colonels basketball team scored 38 points and held the host Gretna Hawks to 30 in the Colonels non-league triumph on Friday.
The Colonels now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Parry McCluer for a non-league contest on Monday, February 5.
Next up, the Hawks play the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) in a bout, on Monday, February 5. Gretna will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 51-5 league win over Chatham (Chatham, VA).
