The El Diamante Miners basketball squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Mt. Whitney Pioneers to 15 in the Miners league win on Friday.

With the win, El Diamante upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Miners travel to Porterville (Porterville, CA) to clash with the Panthers in a bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Porterville lost 22-20 in their recent league bout against Redwood (Visalia, CA)

Next up, the Pioneers clash with the Monache Marauders (Porterville, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Mt. Whitney will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Marauders go into the bout with a 20-3 record after their 40-32 league win over Redwood (Visalia, CA).
