John Battle Trojans (Bristol, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lee Generals (Jonesville, VA), 32-26 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, John Battle upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Trojans host J.I. Burton (Norton, VA) to play the Black Raiders in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Black Raiders come into the bout with a record of 2-3. J.I. Burton lost 42-24 in their recent non-league bout against Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA)

In their next game, the Generals face the Twin Springs Titans (Nickelsville, VA) in a non-league game, on Monday, February 5. Lee will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Titans enter the game with a 11-2 record after their 46-25 non-league win over Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA).
