The Petoskey Northmen trounced the visiting Manistee Chippewas ice hockey squad by a tally of 9-1 in Friday's non-league bout.

With the victory, Petoskey betters its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Northmen host Gaylord (Gaylord, MI) to confront the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-13. Gaylord won 9-5 in their recent non-league bout against Huron (New Boston, MI)

The Chippewas now have a 1-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cheboygan for a Independent bout on Saturday, February 3. Manistee will confront a Chiefs squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Huron (New Boston, MI). The Chiefs record now stands at 11-8.
