Brookeland Wildcats (Brookeland, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, TX), 39-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Brookeland upgrades its record to 4-11 on the season. The Wildcats host Leggett (Leggett, TX) to play the Pirates in a bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Leggett Pirates (Leggett, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Chester will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
