Virginia High School Basketball - James Monroe can't hold off Courtland

The Courtland Cougars basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the host James Monroe Yellow Jackets to 36 in the Cougars league victory on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 17-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eastern View for a contest on Tuesday, February 6. Courtland will battle a Cyclones team coming off a 41-38 non-league win over Culpeper County (Culpeper, VA). The Cyclones record now stands at 3-13.
The Yellow Jackets (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 2-16 record. In their last contest, Spotsylvania was nudged by Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA), 53-18, in a non-league contest.
