The East Henderson Eagles (East Flat Rock, NC) basketball nipped the host Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), 45-44 in Friday's non-league test.
The Eagles (11-6) will now prepare for their test against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Knights go into the test with a 16-5 record. In their last test, North Henderson was tipped by Franklin (Franklin, NC), 63-54, in a league test.
The Mountaineers now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Pisgah for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 6. Tuscola will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 59-53 non-league win over West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Bears record now stands at 9-8.
