Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM), 48-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mayfield upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Trojans travel to Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Organ Mountain lost 44-39 in their recent non-league bout against Centennial (Las Cruces, NM)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Gadsden will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
