The Glenvar Highlanders basketball team (Salem, VA), was overwhelmed 62-25 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Salem Spartans (Salem, VA)
The Spartans now possess a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pulaski County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 6. Salem will battle a Cougars team coming off a 48-40 non-league win over Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 13-8.
The Highlanders (8-10) will now prepare for their battle against Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 17-1 record. In their last battle, Alleghany trounced Floyd County (Floyd, VA), 56-21, in a non-league battle.
