North Carolina High School Basketball - Southern Wayne thwarts Hunt

The Southern Wayne Saints (Dudley, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Hunt Warriors (Wilson, NC), 71-62 in Friday's non-league test.
The Saints (7-7) will now prepare for their test against South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 4-11 record. In their last test, South Johnston went down by C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC), 57-41, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 13-4 record. They play next when they host East Wake for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 6. Hunt will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 71-51 non-league win over West Johnston (Benson, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 13-6.
