The Martin County Knights (Williamston, NC) basketball knocked off the host Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC), 59-50 in Friday's league test.
The Knights (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Gates County (Gatesville, NC). The Red Barons go into the test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, Gates County went down by Bertie (Windsor, NC), 62-39, in a league test.
The Vikings now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Bertie for a test on Tuesday, February 6. Tarboro will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 62-39 league win over Gates County (Gatesville, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 9-3.
