Monsignor Farrell Lions (Staten Island, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings (Staten Island, NY), 47-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Monsignor Farrell upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Holy Trinity (Hicksville, NY) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Sunday, February 4. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Vikings play the LaSalle Academy Cardinals (New York, NY) in a bout, on Saturday, February 3. St. Joseph-by-the-Sea will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 52-37 league loss to Salesian (New Rochelle, NY).
