Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rosman Tigers (Rosman, NC), 43-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Owen upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Warhorses host Avery County (Newland, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 7-7.

Next up, the Tigers play the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Rosman will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 60-43 non-league win over Madison (Marshall, NC).
