The crowd at Sunday's league challenge between the Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD) and the visiting Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA), observed Bishop McNamara's basketball team overwhelm Paul VI by a score of 68-40.
The Mustangs (18-1) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD). The Knights come into the Washington Catholic challenge with a 16-7 record. In their last challenge, St. Mary's Ryken trounced Northern (Owings, MD), 68-38, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Panthers encounter the St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC) in a Washington Catholic challenge, on Wednesday, February 5. Paul VI will attempt to improve on its 17-6 season record. The Cadets come into the challenge with a 21-2 record after their 47-43 league win over Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA).
