The Franklin Cougars baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Chapin Huskies to 6 in the Cougars non-league victory on Monday.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Cathedral (El Paso, TX). The Fighting Irish go into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Cathedral was overwhelmed by Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX), 10-0, in a non-league match.
The Huskies (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Odessa (Odessa, TX). The Bronchos go into the non-league match with a 0-0 record.
