Mississippi High School Baseball - Starkville holds off New Hope

Starkville Yellowjackets (Starkville, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), 6-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Starkville upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to UMS-Wright Prep (Mobile, AL) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Friday, February 23. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 0-4. UMS-Wright Prep lost 11-0 in their recent non-league test against Germantown (Madison, MS)

With the defeat, New Hope falls to 2-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Nettleton (Nettleton, MS) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Saturday, February 24. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 0-0.
