North Carolina High School Basketball - Alexander Central crushes Ashe County

Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 64-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Alexander Central upgrades its record to 11-14 on the season. The Cougars travel to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 21. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 18-6. South Caldwell won 80-48 in their recent league bout against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)
