In Tuesday's league outing, the New Standard Academy Spartans (Flint, MI) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Atherton Wolverines (Burton, MI), by a margin of 72-36.

The Spartans (14-5) will now prepare for their outing against Beecher (Flint, MI). The Buccaneers go into the non-league outing with a 9-11 record. In their last outing, Beecher was trounced by Hamady (Flint, MI), 68-44, in a league outing.

The Wolverines now own a 3-19 record. They play next when they travel to Genesee Christian for a non-league outing on Friday, February 23. Atherton will clash with a Soldiers squad coming off a 50-38 non-league loss to Lutheran Northwest (Rochester Hills, MI). The Soldiers record now stands at 15-7.
