In Tuesday's league outing, the Searcy Lions (Searcy, AR) basketball squad beat the host Batesville Pioneers (Batesville, AR), by a count of 53-42.

The Lions (13-16) will now prepare for their outing against Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR). The Raiders go into the 5A East outing with a 20-8 record. In their last outing, Nettleton defeated Valley View (Jonesboro, AR), 80-57, in a league outing.

The Pioneers now hold a 8-20 record. They play next when they travel to West Memphis for a 5A East outing on Friday, February 23. Batesville will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 63-55 league loss to Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR). The Blue Devils record now stands at 13-16.
