Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Eagle Point Eagles (Eagle Point, OR), 57-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Crater upgrades its record to 19-4 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Thurston (Springfield, OR) to play the Colts in a 5A Midwestern bout on Friday, February 23. The Colts come into the bout with a record of 15-7. Thurston won 73-50 in their recent league bout against Springfield (Springfield, OR)

Next up, the Eagles play the Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR) in a 5A Midwestern bout, on Friday, February 23. Eagle Point will attempt to upgrade on its 10-12 season record. The Millers come into the bout with a 5-17 record after their 73-50 league loss to Thurston (Springfield, OR).
