Montevideo Thunderhawks (Montevideo, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Sauk Centre Mainstreeters (Sauk Centre, MN), 79-78 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Montevideo upgrades its record to 17-6 on the season. The Thunderhawks travel to Lac qui Parle Valley (Madison, MN) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 22. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-15. Lac qui Parle Valley won 78-71 in their recent league bout against MACCRAY (Clara City, MN)

Next up, the Mainstreeters play the Osakis Silverstreaks (Osakis, MN) in a AA Section 6 bout, on Thursday, February 22. Sauk Centre will attempt to upgrade on its 18-6 season record. The Silverstreaks go into the bout with a 18-4 record after their 76-50 league win over St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN).
