In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Morgan County Cougars (West Liberty, KY) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Paintsville Tigers (Paintsville, KY), by a count of 80-58.
The Cougars (20-6) will now prepare for their outing against Powell County (Stanton, KY). The Pirates go into the non-league outing with a 15-13 record. In their last outing, Powell County smashed Buckhorn (Buckhorn, KY), 68-48, in a non-league outing.
The Tigers now hold a 13-16 record. They play next when they host Pikeville for a non-league outing on Friday, February 23. Paintsville will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 66-51 non-league win over Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 20-4.
