In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY) basketball squad nipped the host Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY), by a margin of 47-42.
The Golden Eagles (24-2) will now prepare for their outing against Lawrence County (Louisa, KY). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 18-9 record. In their last outing, Lawrence County got by Morgan County (West Liberty, KY), 50-34, in a non-league outing.
The Wildcats now own a 18-10 record.
