West Las Vegas Dons (Las Vegas, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host St. Michael's Horsemen (Santa Fe, NM), 40-32 in a league bout.
With the win, West Las Vegas upgrades its record to 13-10 on the season. The Dons travel to Robertson (Las Vegas, NM) to play the Cardinals in a 3A District 2 bout on Friday, February 23. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 18-6. Robertson won 50-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Estancia (Estancia, NM)
Next up, the Horsemen confront the Santa Fe Indian Braves (Santa Fe, NM) in a 3A District 2 challenge, on Thursday, February 22. St. Michael's will attempt to improve on its 13-9 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 64-48 league loss to Robertson (Las Vegas, NM).
