In Tuesday's league battle, the host Coronado Mustangs soccer squad scored a good 8-0 triumph over the Cooper Cougars.
The Mustangs (13-1) will now prepare for their battle against Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen come into the 5A Region 1 District 4 battle with a 9-6 record. In their last battle, Monterey thwarted Lubbock (Lubbock, TX), 5-0, in a league battle.
The Cougars (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX). The Pirates come into the 5A Region 1 District 4 battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, Lubbock-Cooper was overwhelmed by Wylie (Abilene, TX), 1-0, in a league battle.
